Finally…

I guess I’ll deviate from animals and fairies for the time being. Too many bunnies and fairies filling up my album, so I’ve decided to cut some humans instead. I pulled a random picture from the net, simply printed it black and white, and started cutting. Looked good heheheh..

Here it is.

Very carefree sorta silhouette. Reminds me of those days in school. No worries over money, work, bills… Just study, study, and study more. Good grades, bad grades…ahhhhh….wish i’m a 12 year old all over again T_T

That’s it for now. No more new stuff coming from me. I’ve not done any this week. T_T Prolly i’ll do some during the holidays Catch up soon.

The title was “People”. Now it is not.

Was gonna update with my latest cuttings, but that has to wait. Caught up with some last minute system studies and brainstorming. Furthermore, it’s almost time to go home. And my car, it’s currently in the workshop. I hv no car to go home, that’s y i’m still in office at 6pm, waiting for transport. haiz…So, yeah, i’ll catch up tomorrow, or the day after. Or prolly the day after.. Not sure.

Ahh..it’s been more than a week. I have yet to cut anything. Am really preoccupied with my mountainous work. It just keeps getting higher and higher. Had to sacrifice my cutting time for work. The last i cut was another… prolly i should let u know after i finish

Hehe..you prolly noticed the fancy title. Sorry to disappoint, but it’s nothing close to “wilderness”. The word just struck and got stuck in my head.

Here it is..the one i had done same time with those fairies. Just too lazy to edit the pic.

Hoax…not wilderness. Just having fun with my figurines. I think that my lassie is cute and should be included. So did the lamb, the dairy lass and piglet

6 animals of great stature.

1. Lion, king of the jungle.
2. Ostrich, largest and fastest bird on land (hope i’m correct)
3. Hippo, huge herbivore
4. Elephant, most massive animal on land.
5. Rhino, another massive animal, just behind elephant.
6. Giraffe. Needless to say, tallest animal.

The grass is randomly knifed..lucky it looks good from far :p

I have 4 fairies tucked away safely in my album. Hoping they’ll grant me wishes hahaha.

This is Monday. She has a wand. Hope she has thousands.., okay, i shouldn’t be greedy, hundreds of wishes to give away FOC. Anyway, she’s missing a wing. There was some mishap when i was shaping her hand. Monday blues i guess…

Here is Tuesday. She’s having a blast watching me cutting her other fairy friend, Wednesday.

Wednesday… Nice to meet ya! She’s intrigued with butterflies. You can see she’s holding one now I like her hair. It’s tied up nicely…

Meet Thursday… She, like Wednesday, loves to mingle with butterflies. This one took me longer to cut (coz of those grass). And her hair, a bit medusa-ish. Cant help it, to complicated to be done with a exacto. My pair of scissors is too big to snip those curves.

No Friday, Saturday nor Sunday yet. Soon I hope, quite busy at the moment.

So, i finally try to draw my own and cut my own. Errm…not very nice.

I think my drawing was passable. Passable hor?? (say it’s passable..thanks). But when i was cutting, i err..”improvise” a litttttllllleeeee bit. And ended up with…

Hmm… It’s too squarish at those supposedly-meant-to-be-roundish areas.. And, haiz, one look can tell it’s out of proportion. Nvm, i have time to improve in my drawing & my cutting techniques.

The finishing product after 1.5 hours (approx) bending over my study table with super sore fingers. Looks pretty good ain’t it

Sadly, not the case Those cats have missing whiskers, disconnected paws, disfigured eyes, severed leg…. :S Poor cats..I’ve circled in RED.

Since this is unsatisfactory, i did another one Rear view of these 5 cats hehehe… (took me another 1.5 hours)

A closer look..i like the tail especially.

All i can say is, this one is perfect or should i say “PURR-fect”. Best cutting i’d done so far!

It was a remarkable weekend. The weather was odd. It has been raining whole year. Strong wind, storm… Got a chance to sneak some tv time while drying my hair last night (read news headlines, i couldn’t hear what those anchormen were muttering). It seems like typhoons were everywhere. At first it was China, now Taiwan. Romania is drowned. Anyway, it was super windy at KYC. Bf was very anxious to windsurf but hehehe..sail broke. Can’t play. He, however, managed to get the other 2 monkeys (Anson, ROC) to “surf” with his surfboard. While they were surfing in the sea, I was stuck at the shore with the ever fateful NDS.

Waited ages for them. Sand flying here and there. I got sand in my eyes, sand in my hair (+ salty, tangled), sand on my slippers..i even ate some sand. When they finally came ashore, I refreshed myself and waited another eons for them to bath. Round 2.45pm, bundled in Anson’s car, we stopped by Tg. Aru for a quickie car wash. Anson finally has a clean, perfumed car now. <- am promoting him..

Since i won some free movie tickets & popcorn set coupons, we set off to watch Hancock. ‘M loving it! Best superhero movie with a twist. “Good job”.

Bundled all up in Anson’s, we went back to the club. Pool table was conquered, so had to make do with just chitchatting by the veranda, discussing dinner plans when they spot a family in distressed over their dead car. 2 girls & a guy pushing a lilac mazda. It was funny, the car was not moving an inch. Hahahahahaha…(take note : i was laughing).

Experienced they were with their car-pushing-scene-at-CP-parking-lot few months back, of course they decided to help. God, they pushed and pushed, not working. They took out their car battery in hope to install to the other car. I don’t understand this part..but it was a bad idea. ROC, bad idea! Asked around for jumper cable, no one has. Apparently those members at the club were not helping either. Sometimes i wonder why men (and women), the richer they are, the less willing they are to help. Snobs… They pushed and pushed again, and thank god, the car finally sputtered to life. Lucky they were, cause storm was brewing and it was already drizzling. Auntie put in the wrong gear for choke start.

So, soaking wet, we were off to dinner. Chicken rice dinner. Guess what? The bf forgotten to switched off his headlamp. (Take note : Remember that i laughed earlier.. Was not laughing then :p)

Haizzzzzzzz…..another dead car. Weather wasn’t helping either. IT’S RAINING CATS AND DOGS. Glad ROC tagged along for dinner. Went home to find jumper cables in ROC’s car, NADA. Made another pit stop at granny’s cause dad said : “granny has”.

So, armed finally with a cable, went back to the chicken rice area. Hooked up the cable and gave the dying battery a jolt. Haizzz…by the time the cars were alive, we were soaking wet. Seriously a tiring day. Went home, bathed, chit chat a little, sleep.

Just when i was drifting off ..TANG TANG TANG.. Poor rabbit of mine, i’d totally forgotten bout her. She made a ruckus by stomping her foot against the cage nearing midnight. When i peaked at her from my window, she was facing my window, ignoring her carrot. Poor Fluffy. She must have been very pissed. Dragged myself up, went outside pat her awhile b4 i hit the sack.

End of the day. Memorable day that’s worth a line or two). Will be updating with my cuttings after i edit those pictures So, watch out

Unable to do work. The boss decided to “donate” my laptop away. Waiting for another from my colleague. She’s still back-up-ing, transferring her stuff to another IBM machine. The IBM looks so boxy and ancient. I’ll be getting another acer. Temporarily, i cant do any of my work…I rather not setup on the desktop, double trouble putting all on the laptop again. Sigh…

So, in the meantime, I get to “snake”. Snake on crosswords, tonnes and tonnes of sudokus, addokus, shapeshifters, food blogs… Am addicted to food blogs. I cant stop reading but ironically, i dont cook either. (i’m ranting too much).

Bear and cub. And an owl on top. U cant see the owl’s eye. The holes i made were too small. I poked ‘em with those map pins..

I’m still on bears…so here’s another one.

All these are done with penknife only. I can ditch my scissors. Prolly i should change my blog header. Working with knives (sharp ones) is much much faster.

That’s it for now. I don’t have any other cuttings to show. No time to cut. MUST FIND TIME! (But when i do, i prefer to rest instead of bending over the cutting mat with a penknife).

Finally, get some time to update. Have been busy with office work, outings and bbqs. Currently am still swamped with office work. Drat!

Actually I’ve done some cuttings long time ago, just didn’t have the time to upload those pictures and framed it with borders. With those new blades & mat, i managed to cut few in matter of minutes. Lesson learned : always hv sharp blades.

New blades.. RM1.70 for 5. Now i can change those blades like mad hehehe. See those leaves i’ve cut..i did all those in few secs.

Of course, not to forget, new album to put all my cuttings. Just an ordinary stick-on photo album. I’m just sticking everything in. No idea how to decorate yet I’ll get back to it when my brain is more active.
